On a last-minute trip to Nuremberg for the exhibition at NurnbergMesse, I found myself at Gasthof Jägerheim, and I must say it exceeded my expectations for the price of just €72 a night. Nestled in the Bavarian countryside, it's a cozy pension that may not be business-oriented, but it sure provides a comfortable nook to crash after a hectic day of running around. The owner, although not English-speaking, is incredibly warm and does his utmost to ensure a pleasant stay. The free WiFi was a bonus for keeping in touch with my family back in Leeds while I indulged in classic German and regional specialties at dinner in the on-site restaurant - a lovely way to wrap up a long day. Plus, with Nuremberg just a 30-minute drive away, you can soak up some history and culture when you have a spare moment. Gasthof Jägerheim is a charming last-minute solution for those who, like me, just need a decent spot to lay their heads after a day filled with excitement and exploration.
